These beeswax ghost candles make an amazing Halloween decoration (although why not display them all year round!?) plus they are made from beautiful pure beeswax and have a gorgeous subtle honey and floral scent.
If you can bring yourself to light this cutie then please trim the wick to 5mm and ensure the candle is placed on a suitable, level fire-proof surface both for safety and for catching wax drips.
When burning this candle it will drip (and the arms may become detached) due to its novelty shape and the fact it is primarily a decorational item. An enclosed holder is not recommended as beeswax gets extremely hot. Scroll down for more candle safety and care information.
Please note that due to the natural, handmade nature of these candles, colour and size can vary slightly and small imperfections may be present.
Burning beeswax is said to improve and purify air quality as well as benefit those with asthma and environmental sensitivities. Beeswax is environmentally friendly, non-toxic and burns 'clean' when done correctly.
Size
Each ghost is approximately 6.5 cm tall and 6cm wide (across widest part).
Burn time
On average this candle burns for around 5 - 7 hours, but this can vary due to burning conditions and the fact that each candle is unique.
Colour and scent
The colour of beeswax can range from a pale cream to yellow to almost brown/gold, therefore the colour can vary from the picture. We tend to use beeswax that is yellow or golden.
The exact smell can also vary between batches but is always a delightful floral honey scent. Please note this is a subtle smell when the candle is lit.
The beeswax used for this candle is mostly sourced from our own beehives based in York, but we may get wax from other UK sources at times (eg at busier times).
How to make sure you get the most out of your candle and burn safely
Make sure your candle is on a flat surface whilst lit.
Make sure the wick is trimmed to around 5mm before lighting. If your flame gets too tall or the wick has a build up of carbon at the end then extinguish the candle, trim the wick and relight. Don't burn candles for longer than 4 hours at a time.
Rather than blowing your candle out, you should extinguish the candle either with a snuffer or by pushing the wick into the melted wax and then ensuring the wick stands up straight again.
Always retrim the wick to 5mm before relighting. You can use nail clippers if you don’t have a wick trimmer.
If the candle is burning more on one side then make sure it's on a flat surface, make sure the wick is central, and make sure it's not in a draft.

Standard delivery costs a flat fee of £3.50 per order. Your order will be sent via Royal Mail or courier, depending on the size and weight of the order. Your order will usually arrive within 5 working days but please allow up to 7 before getting in touch.
We currently only ship to the UK on orders placed through the website. However, if you are outside the UK and would like to place an order please feel free to get in touch as we may be able to send out small orders of certain items, depending on the weight and value of goods plus any restrictions your country may have.
