Pure Yorkshire honey predominately made from the nectar of borage (also known as starflower).

This pale, delicate honey is sweet but doesn’t have a strong taste so is often used as a sugar or golden syrup replacement in recipes.

All our bees are free range so the exact blend of flowers will vary from season to season, and the colour and taste is always unique.

Why is our borage honey so special and so limited?

Borage is a difficult and expensive crop to grow and requires perfect weather conditions. The farmers need beekeepers to put their hives on the borage to pollinate it. If the weather conditions are perfect the bees make lots more honey than they do on any other crop, but it’s always a gamble as to whether this will happen or not! It's a beautiful flower often seen adorning a glass of pimms in the summer.

Please note: each batch of honey is a different colour, and can vary from the picture shown.

Allergy and safety information: Honey is not suitable for infants under 12 months. Honey contains pollen and tree pollen.

We do not add anything to our honey, however our free range bees may visit crops which are allergens, such as soybean, nuts, lupin and mustard, therefore it is not possible to guarantee the absence of traces of allergens in our honey.

Ingredients: 100% pure honey

Granulation information: As with all our honeys, if you prefer a firmer texture we recommend you store your jar in the fridge or somewhere else cool. If your honey sets (this is granulation, all pure honey will do this at some point) and you wish to return it to its runny state, simply loosen the lid and place the jar into a saucepan of tepid water until the honey liquifies. Granulation is a sign of the purity and quality of our honey.

Absolutely Amazing Taste

I found this company on Instagram. With my husband being from Yorkshire and living there for a while myself. I thought it would be nice to purchase from a local supplier. The Borage Honey arrived within a few days and was well packaged. I couldn’t wait to open and try. So glad I did, by for the nicest Honey I have ever tasted.
I will definitively be back to purchase more.
Thank you and keep up the good work.

Beautiful Honey - Glad I found Yorkshire Hive

The borage honey is super sweet like nectar. I have tried all four of the honeys from Yorkshire Hive and they are all seriously delicious. I like to source and support local producers rather than big corporate companies so thank you Yorkshire Hive for producing such a fabulous product. The honey is a good price and delivery is quick. The only problem for me is that this beautiful honey doesn't last long in my household so regular orders are called for!
