Porridge with fruit and honey

Drizzling our honey over a bowl of hot porridge makes a delicious and incredibly comforting breakfast, particularly in the colder months.

Chances are you know how to make porridge, but we've included a basic recipe in case you need one.

To make one portion of porridge, mix 50g porridge oats with 150ml water in a saucepan. Stir over a medium heat for a minute or two before adding 150ml whole milk. If you're using semi skimmed milk then replace 50ml of the water with extra milk.

Also if you like your porridge more or less runny then you can play around with the liquid quantities.

Any Yorkshire Hive honey works well drizzled over the porridge, but the summer flower honey is our favourite to use this way! It's also even better if you add sliced bananas, or a few different kinds of berries. For a less healthy addition you could also try chocolate chips!
